Aside
it's a picture of salt.

it’s a picture of salt.

From PhysOrg (link):

“For the past few decades, health officials have been reporting increases in the incidence of autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis (MS). Now researchers at Yale School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School and the Broad Institute have identified a prime suspect in the mystery—dietary salt.”

I can’t decide whether to increase or decrease my salt intake. On one hand:

Pros:

– reduce blood pressure by a few points

– supposedly better health

Con:

– increased night time cramping

– i’ve read articles about how the science done to support a reduced salt intake is bunk

– LIFE WILL NOT BE AS TASTY

Edit (29/Mar/2013):

I’ve come to suspect I have something called POTS; basically I feel faint/black out when lying down too quickly. Increased salt intake is supposed to remedy the issue somewhat. Problem solved! I will continue to eat bacon…
